To use this feature, you must configure at least oneDNS; you may also configure a default domain name. If you configure a defaultdomain name, that name is appended to hostnames that do not contain a dot. Thedefault domain name and addresses are saved in NVRAM.The hostnames for ping and telnet cannot be longer than 63 alphanumericcharacters, and the default DNS domain name cannot be longer than 255characters.
