Chapter 1 About Ethernet Switches 325 and 425 73System Configuration GuideIf the default IP configuration is set, any change to the configured IP address orsubnet mask through the other user interfaces, will cause the In-use IPconfiguration of the switch or stack to change. Therefore, the newly configured IPaddress must be used to manage the switch or stack.To set the default IP address and subnet mask, do the following:1 Press the UI button and hold in for 3 seconds.The unit is now in the Configuration mode. The color and status of the UILED will turn green blinking.2 Press the UI button five times.The Base LED and the Up and Down LEDs will now be steady amber toindicate that the button press was recognized.3 Press the UI button and hold in for 3 seconds to confirm the command.The In-Use IP address will now be changed to 192.168.192.168. The colorand status of the UI LED will turn to steady green once the command hasbeen accepted. If the command is rejected, the UI LED turns amber blinking.LED display during change in IP address and subnet maskThe LEDs on the front panel change color or display blinking signals to indicatethat the In-Use configuration has changed.If the unit is in a stack, only the LEDs of that unit will change color or blink.There will be no change in the LEDs of other units in the stack.Note: If there is a change in the switch state, that is, if it joins or exits astack after the default IP configuration is set, the In-Use IP configurationwill change, and must be set again using the UI button.
