However, if you have to replace the hard drivein a single-disk BCM1000 running BCM version 3.0.1 (3.0 maintenance release) or newerreleases, you must re-initialize the Business Communications Manager. After you replace the hard disk and the system has booted up, perform the initialization as follows:1 Ensure the Status LED on the Business Communications Manager is lit. The Status LEDindicates that all services have started and the Business Communications Manager is operatingcorrectly.2 Attach a configuration computer to the base function tray serial port (recommended method).Continue to the next step in this procedure when complete.3 Access the Business Communications Manager from the configuration terminal using theterminal emulation program. Use the Business Communications Manager default IP address(10.10.10.1).4 Enter the terminal emulation program, as described in “Finding the configuration menus” onpage 128. The Main Menu should display (Figure 89).Note: If there is a modem, the system reboots four times. If there is no modem, the systemonly reboots twice.Note: When you replace a hard disk, IP configuration data is lost. The BusinessCommunications Manager IP address defaults to: 10.10.10.1You can access the Business Communications Manager through your local areanetwork, using the IP address 10.10.10.1.
