Programming and Initial Settings2.9 Initial Settings2.9.1 General Procedure of Key OperationNote: The fonts displayed on the LCD operation panel may differ from the fonts writtenthis manual.Accessing to desired functions:• There are two methods for accessing a desired function: Step access and Speedaccess (direct access).• Step AccessTo access functions in a stepwise manner, the procedure is like that described fornavigating the operational layers. Begin from pressing MENU/EXIT key, and then usethe programming keys to locate, enter and set the desired function.• Speed AccessIf the function is assigned a speed access number, typing this number in at the menudisplay prompt in the first operational layer will bring up the setting or registrationdisplay in the fourth operational layer for direct access.Note1: A speed access number must be entered with two digits. (It must not be enteredwith neither one digit nor three digits.)Note2: Speed access numbers are fixed.Some of them cannot be used (skipped) depending on the destination of deliveryand whether the machine is equipped with any option. Access numbers becomediscontinous.
