41 Shooting2-slot continuous recordingIf you insert two P2 cards into the two card slots,this function allows you to record continuously onthe two cards.You can also record continuously on three or morecards by replacing one card while data is beingrecorded on the other. (Hot swap recording)However, depending on when the P2 card isinserted into an empty slot (immediately afterprerecording, or before or after continuousrecording spanning two slots), there may be adelay in recognizing the P2 card.We recommend inserting the P2 card while thereis at least one minute remaining on the card that isrecording.You can change the slot for recording with onetouch if you press a USER button to which theSLOT SEL has been allocated.• “Using the USER buttons” (Page 39)• You cannot change slots while recording so dothis during recording standby.• Does not support hot swap playback.Shot mark functionThe marks attached to the thumbnails of clipsare called shot marks. On the thumbnail screenmonitor you can select only those clips with a shotmark and display them or play them back.• “Switching the thumbnail display” (Page 80)During recording, when you press the USER buttonto which the SHOT MARK function has beenallocated, MARK ON appears in the LCD monitoror the viewfinder, and a shot mark is set for thethumbnail of the clip being recorded. If you pressthe button again, the shot mark is released.• “Using the USER buttons” (Page 39)• A shot mark added during a pause afterrecording is added to the most recentlyrecorded clip.• Shot marks can be added also in thethumbnail display.• The shot mark function is not availableduring loop recording, interval recordingand one-shot recording. When this functionis not available, pressing this buttondisplays SHOT MARK INVALID.• Shot marks can be set or cancelled inplayback pause mode but not duringplayback.• Shot marks cannot be set or deleted forvideo data created in a single hot-swaprecording session consisting of multipleclips unless all the P2 cards that containthe video data for the entire session areinserted. In clips that consist of multipleclips like the one above, shot marks can beadded only to the first clip of video data.
