Up to a maximum of 99clips can be combined into a single clip.To record a new clipFollow the instructions below to use a new andseparate clip and end combining to the clip.• Push and hold the Operation lever in the direction (STOP) for about 2 seconds whilerecording is paused. (operatingwhile recording is in progress)Follow the instructions above to end combiningto the clip. “END 1-CLIP” displays. Subsequentrecordings use a new and separate clip.• In addition to the aforementioned steps, thefollowing ends combining to the clip andsubsequent recordings use a new clip.· When the power is turned off· When the P2 card with the previous recordingis removed· When the P2 card is formatted or the clip isdeleted (when the previous combined clipdoes not exist)• The clip does not stop combining evenwhen the STOP button is pressed in theMenu or on the thumbnail display.To exit one-clip recording modeSet the menu option ONE CLIP REC to OFF.To cue to the start of the combined section ofthe clipA text memo can be automatically added to thestart of the recording, the start of a section canbe cued for playback, and the thumbnail of thelocation can be checked before each recording.To automatically add a text memo to the start pointof the recording, set the menu option START TEXTMEMO to ON in the RECORDING SETUP screen.(Page 142)Check and playback the location of the added textmemo by selecting THUMBNAIL → TEXT MEMOCLIPS from the Thumbnail Menu and moving thecursor over the desired clip.Refer to “Playing back a clip at the position wherea text memo is recorded” (Page 83) for details.To cue to the location of the text memo duringplayback, set the menu option SEEK SELECT toCLIP&T in the OTHER FUNCTIONS screen, andpush the Operation lever in the directionwhile playback is paused.
