We recommend using a colourvideo monitor to check the image.7-1-1 Preparing for Inspections1 Mount a charged battery pack.2 Turn the power switch ON and check that 5 or moreBATT indication marks appear.z If fewer than 5 BATT indication marks appear, replacethe battery with a fully-charged battery.3 Insert a P2 card into the card slot and close the slidecover.Confirm that the P2 card access LED for the insertedcard slot lights up in orange. If P2 cards are insertedinto multiple card slots, only the P2 card access LED forthe first-inserted P2 card lights up in orange. Then, theother P2 card access LEDs light up in green when P2cards are inserted.If the access LED for the P2 card slot in which a P2card is inserted keeps blinking in green, or if there is nodisplay, recording is not possible on that particular P2card.7-1-2 Inspecting the Camera Unit1 Set the zoom to electric zoom mode and check thezoom operation.Check that the image changes to telephoto and wideangle.2 Set the zoom to manual zoom mode and check thezoom operation.Turn the manual zoom lever to check that the imagechanges to telephoto and wide angle.3 Set the iris to automatic adjustment mode and aim thelens at objects with different degrees of brightness, tocheck that the automatic iris adjustment operatesnormally.4 Set the iris to manual adjustment mode and turn the irisring, to check the manual iris adjustment.5 While holding down the instant iris automaticadjustment button, aim the lens at objects with differentdegrees of brightness, to check that the instant irisautomatic adjustment operates properly.6 Return the iris to automatic adjustment mode andchange the GAIN switch setting to L, M, and H, to checkthe following items:z The iris is adjusted for objects with the samebrightness according to the switch setting.z The gain value displayed on the viewfinder screenchanges according to the switch setting.7 When a lens with an extender is mounted, set theextender to the operating position to check that theextender operates properly.123ᤨࠫ
