23 (F)Connections Setting the IP addressesautomatically (auto IP setting)When “Auto IP setting” is initiated, the IP addresses are setautomatically for the remote cameras and the switcher whichare connected within the same subnet. The IP addresses can be set for up to 100 remote camerasand one switcher.[Remote camera settings]The unit sets the IP addresses for the remote camerasthat have been detected by associating them with cameranumbers whose connection setting is set to “NoAsign”.Connection settings:On the [SYSTEM] menu, select [CAMERA CTL], andthen display items [CAM1] to [CAM100].Setting or changing IP addresses:On the [SYSTEM] menu, select [CAM IP ADR], andthen display items [CAM1] to [CAM100].Example: Remote cameras A, B, and C are detected. In [CAMERA CTL], items [CAM1] to [CAM3] are allset to “NoAsign”. In [CAM IP ADR], the IP addresses of items[CAM1] to [CAM3] range from 192.168.000.010 to192.168.000.012.In the above example, the IP addresses for the remotecameras are set as follows:Remote camera A: 192.168.000.010Remote camera B: 192.168.000.011Remote camera C: 192.168.000.012 Subnet mask, default gateway, and port numbersettings are the same as those for the unit. The connection setting for camera numbers thathave been set once with “Auto IP setting” becomes“Network”.These camera numbers will be excluded as targets of“Auto IP setting” the next time that “Auto IP setting” isperformed. However, if the IP address for a camera number thathas been set with “Auto IP setting” is changed, or ifa camera number’s connection setting is changedto “NoAsign” or “Serial”, the corresponding cameranumbers will be targeted in the next “Auto IP setting”operation. If the IP address for a detected remote cameramatches the IP address set for a camera number (acamera number with a connection setting other than“Serial”), the IP address setting for the remote camerawill be used as is. If the IP address for a remotecamera is set once and then changed so that it differsfrom the IP address set for the camera number, theremote camera IP address is set again to the cameranumber IP address.[Switcher settings]On the [SYSTEM] menu, in [SW CTL], if the [SW] item isset to [NoAsign], the IP address for the switcher will beset from the unit. The IP address set in the [IP:SW] item from [SW IP ADR]on the [SYSTEM] menu will be set for the switcher.Duplication in the IP addresses may arise when adevice other than a remote camera or switcher has beenconnected within the same subnet.Connect only devices which are covered by the “Auto IPsetting” within the same subnet.Note When setting the IP addresses for thefirst timeThe IP addresses are set while the remote cameras, switcher and unit are at their factory settings.1 Connect the remote cameras, switcher andunit to the network within the same subnet.192.168.000.010 192.168.000.011192.168.000.010 192.168.000.010192.168.000.010 192.168.000.012192.168.000.008 192.168.000.008192.168.000.009
