- 208 -When disposing of or giving away the SDcard, note that:≥ Formatting and deletion of data on this unit orcomputer only changes the file managementinformation and does not completely deletethe data in the SD card.≥ It is recommended that the SD card isphysically destroyed or the SD card isphysically formatted using this unit whendisposing of or giving away the SD card.To physically format the SD card, connect theunit via the AC adaptor, select [SETUP] #[FORMAT MEDIA] # [YES] from the menu,and then press and hold the recording start/stop button on the screen below for about 3seconds. When the SD card data deletionscreen appears, select [YES], and then followthe on-screen instructions.≥ The customer is responsible for themanagement of the data in the SD card.≥ When the LCD screen is dirty orcondensation has occurred, please wipe itusing a soft cloth such as eyeglass cleaner.≥ Do not touch the LCD monitor with yourfingernails, or rub or press with strong force.≥ It may become hard to see or hard torecognize the touch when the LCD protectionsheet is affixed.≥ When the unit has become very cold, forexample due to storage in a cold area, itsLCD monitor will be slightly darker than usualimmediately after the unit is turned on. Thenormal brightness will be restored when theunit’s internal temperature rises.About the SD card LCD monitorExtremely high precision technology isemployed to produce the LCD Monitorscreen. The result is more than 99.99%effective dots with a mere 0.01% of the dotsinactive or always lit. However, this is not amalfunction and does not affect the recordedpicture.
