To usethis feature, you must subscribe to a Caller ID service.Change the following ring setting to 2 or more rings beforehand.– TAD ring setting and FAX ring setting (feature #06 on page 70)How Caller ID is displayedThe calling party’s name or telephone numberwill be displayed after the first ring. You thenhave the option of whether or not to answer thecall depending on the caller.The unit will automatically store the callerinformation (name, telephone number and thetime of the call). You can view the callerinformation (page 35) and print the caller ID list(page 90).Note:L If the unit is connected to a PBX (PrivateBranch Exchange) system, you may notreceive the caller information. Consult yourPBX supplier.L If the unit cannot receive caller information,the following will be displayed:– The caller dialed from an area which doesnot provide Caller ID service:OUT OF AREA– The caller requested not to send callerinformation:PRIVATE CALLER– The caller made a long distance call:LONG DISTANCETo confirm caller information using theCaller ID listThe unit will store information for the most recent30 callers.– To print manually, see page 90.– To print automatically after every 30 newcalls, activate feature #26 (page 71).
