Preparation16 For assistance, please call 1-800-211-PANA (7262).Setting the date and timeSet the date and time so that the unit willannounce the day and time each messagewas recorded by the answering system(page 47) when you play back messages.1 Press {MENU}.2 Scroll to “Date and time” by pressing{V} or {^}, then press {>} or {Select}.3 Enter the current month, day, and yearby selecting 2 digits for each.Example: June 15, 2005Press {0}{6} {1}{5} {0}{5}.4 Enter the current hour and minute (12-hour clock format) by selecting 2 digitsfor each.Example: 9:30 PMPress {0}{9} {3}{0}.5 Select “AM” or “PM” by pressing {AM/PM}.6 Press {Save}.L When the date and time are set, Edisappears from the base unitdisplay.L If the handset beeps 3 times, the dateand time were not set correctly. Enterthe correct digits.7 Press {OFF}.Note:L If you make a mistake when entering thedate and time, press {<}, {>}, {V}, or{^} to move the cursor, then make thecorrection.L If a power failure occurs, E will flash toindicate the date and time must be setagain.To confirm the date and timeRepeat steps 1 and 2.
