Making/Answering Calls20 For assistance, please call 1-800-211-PANA (7262).Clarity boosterThis feature can improve sound claritywhen the handset is used in an area wherethere may be interference. During anoutside call, this feature will be turned onautomatically when necessary. Thisfeature will turn off when you hang up orput a call on hold. It will not turn offautomatically during a call. You can alsoturn this feature on or off manually.1 Press {MENU} during an outside call.2 Press {2} to select “Booster on” or“Booster off”.L You can also select “Booster on” or“Booster off” by pressing {V} or{^} then pressing {>}.L While this feature is turned on,“BOOST” will flash on the display.Note:L If this feature is turned off manuallyduring a call, it will not be turned onautomatically during the same call.L While this feature is turned on, batteryoperating time will be shortened (page12).L KX-TG5453 only:The maximum number of extensionswhich can be used at a time maydecrease when using this feature.Call share (KX-TG5452 and KX-TG5453 only)When another handset is on an outsidecall, this feature allows you to join that call.To join a conversation, press {C} or {s}when the other handset is on an outsidecall.L “Conference” will be displayed.PAUSE button (for PBX/longdistance service users)A pause is sometimes required whenmaking calls using a PBX or long distanceservice.For example, if you need to dial the lineaccess number “9” when making outsidecalls with a PBX:1 Press {9}.2 Press {PAUSE}, then dial the phonenumber.3 Press {C}, {s}, or {Call}.Note:L A 3.5 second pause is inserted eachtime {PAUSE} is pressed.
