Answering System FeaturesFor assistance, please call 1-800-211-PANA (7262). 49Listening to messagesWhen new messages have beenrecorded:– The MESSAGE indicator on the baseunit will flash.– The message indicator on the handsetwill flash slowly if the message alertfeature is turned on (page 55).The base unit display will show the numberof messages (old and new) recorded bythe answering system.Example: The total number of recordedmessages is 10.Listening to messages usingthe base unitPress {MESSAGE}.L The unit will announce the number ofnew messages and will play back thenew messages.L When you have no new messages, theunit will announce “No new messages.All message playback”, and will playback all messages.Note:L The display shows the message numberduring playback.L During playback, the unit will announcethe day and time that each messagewas recorded. (Voice time/day stamp)L At the end of the last message, the unitannounces “End of final message”.To adjust the speaker volume9 levels (high to off) are available.
