Getting Started9Note when setting upNote for connectionsL The AC adaptor must remain connected atall times. (It is normal for the adaptor tofeel warm during use.)L The AC adaptor should be connected toa vertically oriented or floor-mounted ACoutlet. Do not connect the AC adaptor toa ceiling-mounted AC outlet, as the weightof the adaptor may cause it to becomedisconnected.During a power failureThe unit will not work during a power failure.We recommend connecting a corded-typetelephone (without AC adaptor) to the sametelephone line or to the same telephone linejack, if you have such a telephone jack inyour house.Note for battery installationL Use the supplied rechargeable batteries.For replacement, we recommend usingthe Panasonic rechargeable batteriesnoted on 3, 5. oldal.L Wipe the battery ends (S, T) with a drycloth.L Avoid touching the battery ends (S, T) orthe unit contacts.Note for battery chargingL It is normal for the handset to feel warmduring charging.L Clean the charge contacts of the handsetand charger with a soft and dry cloth oncea month.
