For example, you canmonitor a baby from different areas ofthe house.To use this feature, turn auto mute off atthe destination extension.Important:L Turn auto mute off at the destinationextension (see “Turning auto mute on/off ” on page 39).L Make sure that the destination unit isin standby mode.1 Press {INTERCOM} 2 times.L The INTERCOM indicator lights.L The SP-PHONE indicator lightsand the speakerphone turns on.2 Press the speed dial (extension)button or enter the extensionnumber.L The destination extension does notring, instead it will beep 3 times.L Your unit starts to monitor the roomthrough the extension.L If necessary, you can mute yoursound output by pressing{MUTE}.3 To end monitoring, press{SP-PHONE} or place the handseton the cradle.Note:L To avoid being monitored and keepprivacy, turn Do Not Disturb (DND) on.L The monitored extension user canstop being monitored by pressing{SP-PHONE} or {INTERCOM}.Transferring callsYou can transfer an outside call toanother extension.The speed dial (extension) buttons “1,2, 3...15, 16” mean the extensionnumbers “11, 12, 13...25, 26”.Blind transfer1 During an outside call, press{TRANSFER} to put the call on hold.2 Press the speed dial (extension)button or enter the extensionnumber, then place the handset onthe cradle.L If the transferred extension doesnot answer within 1 minute, thetransferred call will ring at allextensions.Note:L Any extensions can take a transferredcall by pressing the relevant linebutton.L If a call is kept on hold for more than60 or 120 seconds, an alarm tonestarts to sound (hold reminder). Toturn off the hold reminder, see “Holdreminder” on page 29.L If a call is kept on hold for more than 5minutes, the call is disconnected.Paging before transfer1 During an outside call, press{INTERCOM} 2 times to put the callon hold.L You can make an intercom call bypressing {INTERCOM}.2 Press the speed dial (extension)button or enter the extensionnumber.L If the paged extension does notanswer, press the relevant linebutton.
