Playback mode45LSQT0862Formatting a cardPlease be aware that if a card is formatted, thenall the data recorded on the card will be erased.Store important data on a personal computer, etc.pSet to Picture Playback Mode.1 Set [ADVANCE] >> [CARD FORMAT] >>[YES].2 When the confirmation message appears,select [YES] and press the joystick in orderto format the card.pIn order to stop formatting, select [NO].pNormally, it is not necessary to format the card.If a message appears even though you insertand remove the card several times, format it.pCards formatted on other equipment such aspersonal computers cannot be used orrecording takes longer than usual. Werecommend formatting your card on thisCamcorder.Protecting files on a cardFiles recorded on a card can be locked so that theymay not be deleted by mistake. (Even if the files arelocked, they will be deleted if the card is formatted.)pSet to Picture Playback Mode.1 Set [BASIC] >> [PROTECT] >> [YES].2 Move the joystick to select a file to belocked, and then press it.p[ ] Indication appears and the selectedfile is locked.
