See “Automatic NumericIdentification (ANI)” on the next page forinstructions on setting the ANI number.When Option 5 is enabled (flashing), the keypad becomes active formanual DTMF operation.When Options 4 and 5 are both enabled (flashing), the ANI tonesequence will be transmitted only after the [ENT] key is pressed whilethe transmit PTT switch is activated. A sidetone of the ANI numbertransmitted will also be heard through the speaker.options 2-6, 7 and 8: reserved for future optionsOnce each option is set as desired, you can store the changes, discardthe changes, or disable all displayed options.Press the [CLR] key to disable all displayed options (steady).Press the [ENT] key to store new displayed options settings intomemory and advance to the next field.Press the [FCN] key to advance to the next field without savingchanges.Automatic Number Identification ID (ANI)PRG TX RX SCN D CMND home channelT32 N4 G7PRG TX RX SCN D CMNDANI 1234567ANI ID NUMThis field is the ‘ANI ID’ number (as many asseven digits may be used). The ID numbercan be used for either radio management ortransmitted as a DTMF tone burst for ANIpurposes. The ANI can be enabled or disabled. See “ANI/DTMF Mode”.If no change is needed for the ID number, press the [FCN] key toadvance to the next field. |
