This is useful if you want tomonitor a specific channel, or hear an emergencybroadcast on a channel and do not want to miss anydetails, even though there might be periods ofsilence.To manually select a channel, press HOLD, enter thechannel number then press HOLD again.Or, during scanning, if the radio stops at a channelyou want to listen to, press HOLD once. (Repeatedlypressing HOLD at this time causes the scanner tostep through the channels.) Press SCAN to resumeautomatic scanning.signal stalkerYour scanner’s Signal Stalker feature lets you set thescanner to detect and display the frequency ofnearby strong radio transmissions. Signal Stalkercan work “in the background” while you arescanning other frequencies, or you can turn offnormal scanning while Signal Stalker is working.You can set the scanner so it alerts you when SignalStalker finds a frequency. You can also set thefrequency band where you want the scanner to lookfor transmissions.
