19Turn the head until the ‘D’ matches the one onthe burner base. Turn the head over and place iton the burner base. To fit the small inner burner,find the larger electrode notch in the burner rim.Line this up with the white ignition electrode andplace the inner burner on the large base ring.A electrode notch B ignition electrodeNow fit the two trim rings, making sure that theyare sitting down properly.GriddleAlways clean the griddle after use. Allow to coolcompletely before removing. Immerse thegriddle plate in hot soapy water. Use a soft clothor, for stubborn stains, a nylon washing upbrush.NEVER USE CAUSTIC OR ABRASIVECLEANERS AS THESE WILL DAMAGE THESURFACE.GrillThe grill pan and grid should be washed in hotsoapy water. After grilling meats or any foodsthat soil, leave to soak for a few minutes in thesink immediately after use. Stubborn particlesmay be removed from the grid by using a nylonbrush.Control Panel and DoorsAvoid using any abrasive cleaners includingcream cleaners, e.g. Cif, on brushed StainlessSteel surfaces. For best results use a liquiddetergent e.g. Domestos Multi Surface Cleaner.The control panel and control knobs should onlybe cleaned with a soft cloth wrung out in cleanhot soapy water. Wipe with a clean dampenedcloth then polish with a dry cloth. The ovendoors should only be cleaned with a soft clothwrung out in clean hot soapy water.OvensThe ovens have removable panels that havebeen coated with a special enamel that partlycleans itself. This does not stop all marks on thelining, but helps to reduce the amount of manualcleaning needed.The Cook & Clean panels work betterabove 200°C. If you do most of yourcooking below this temperature,occasionally remove the panels and wipewith a lint free cloth and hot soapy water.The panels should then be dried andreplaced and the oven heated at 200°C forabout one hour. This will ensure the Cook &Clean panels are working effectively.Don’t use steel wool (Brillo) or any othermaterials which will scratch the surface. Don’tuse oven cleaning pads.Removing the Oven LiningsSome of the lining panels can be removed forcleaning and for cleaning behind. Remove theshelves first.The right hand fanned oven has a removableoven roof - slide the roof liner forward andremove.The side panels of either oven can be removed.Each side of the oven is fixed with four fixingscrews. You don’t have to remove the screws toremove the oven linings. Lift each side panelupwards and they will slide off the screws. Thenpull them forwards.Once the linings are removed, the oven enamelinterior can be cleaned.
