23Oven temperature getting hotter as thecooker gets olderIf turning the knob down has not worked or onlyworked for a short time then you may need anew thermostat. This should be fitted by aservice person.Grill not cooking properlyAre you using the pan and trivet supplied withthe cooker? Is the pan being used on therunners, not the floor of the compartment? Is thegrill tray pushed fully back to stop?The oven light is not workingThe bulb has probably blown. You can buy areplacement bulb (which is not covered underthe guarantee) from a good electrical shop. Askfor an Edison screw fitting 15w 240v lamp, FOROVENS. It must be a special bulb, heat resistantto 300 °C. See the HELP leaflet for spares bymail order.Open the oven door and remove the Handyrack(if fitted) and oven shelves.Turn off the power supply.Unscrew the bulb cover by turninganticlockwise. Unscrew the old bulb. Screw inthe new bulb, screw back the bulb cover. Turnon the electricity supply and check that the bulbnow lights.Unscrew the old bulb and fit the new one.Hotplate ignition or hotplate burners faultyIs the power on? Is the clock illuminated? If notthere maybe something wrong with the powersupply.See ‘power supply’ section further on.Are the sparker (ignition electrode) or burnerslots blocked by debris?Is the burner trim correctly located?Are the burner caps correctly located?See the section entitled ‘Cleaning’Hotplate burners will not lightIf only one or all the hotplate burners will notlight, make sure that the parts have beenreplaced correctly after wiping or removing forcleaning.Check that there is not a problem with your gassupply. You can do this by making sure thatother gas appliances you may have are working.Do the burners spark when you push thebutton? If not check the power is on - is theclock illuminated?
