The benefits of virtualmedia - mounting of remote drives/media on the target server to supportsoftware installation and diagnostics - are now available in all of theDominion KX II models.Each Dominion KX II comes equipped with virtual media to enableremote management tasks using the widest variety of CD, DVD, USB,internal and remote drives and images. Unlike other solutions, theDominion KX II supports virtual media access of hard drives andremotely mounted images for added flexibility and productivity.Virtual media sessions are secured using 128-bit AES or RC4 encryption.The D2CIM-VUSB CIM and D2CIM-DVUSB (computer interface module)support virtual media sessions to KVM target servers supporting the USB2.0 interface. These CIMs also support Absolute MouseSynchronization™ as well as remote firmware update.The black connector on the DVUSB CIM is used for keyboard andmouse. The gray connector is used for virtual media. Keep both plugs ofthe CIM connected to the device. The device may not operate properly ifboth plugs are not connected to the target server.
