Chapter 10: Additional Features169To unlock the User Station:1. Take either of the following actions: If the User Station enters the Suspend mode, press its powerbutton. If the screen is locked, press any key on the keyboard.2. A password prompt displays.3. Enter the password of the user who triggered the Suspend orscreen-locking mode.4. Click Unlock.The User Station now shows the last device status where that userleft over.To log out of the User Station:1. At the password prompt, click Log Out. NO password is needed.2. The Login Screen displays, and any user can log in.Factory Reset at StartupIn addition to the factory reset feature in the User Station Configurationwindow, you can reset the User Station to factory defaults by performingthe factory reset during the device boot.Only the admin user can perform the factory reset at startup. Otherusers CANNOT perform it regardless of the permissions they own.The User Station supports the factory reset at startup as ofrelease 1.1.0.Note that the factory reset removes all customized data, which is listedin the section titledFactory Reset (on page 136).To perform factory reset when the device boots up:1. It may be required to change your admin password to enable thisfeature, depending on the initial software version implemented onyour User Station. If the initial version is1.1.0 or later, this feature worksregardless of the admin password change.Note: Raritan recommends changing the default admin passwordeven though this feature works. See Password Change(on page 93). You must also change the admin password to enable this featureafter the User Station is restored with any backup file createdwithan earlier software version (1.0.0 or 1.0.1) regardless of theinitial version.2. Restart or boot up the User Station.
