Chapter 2: Getting Started20Connection Error MessageIf there are problems accessing a KVM port/target server, such as anetwork connectivity issue, an error message appears while the KVMClient opens.• To close the error message only, click OK. The KVM Client continuesto display, with "Disconnected" shown on its title bar.• To close both the error message and the KVM Client, click Close.Note that switching to another KVM port automatically closes this errormessage.Note: In FIPS mode, a similar connection error message appears if theKVM switch's certificate is not installed on the User Station. SeeCertificate Failure in the FIPS Mode(see "Certificate FailureMessage" on page 119). Also, the User Station CANNOT connect to anytargets on a KX III KVM switch with Security setting TLS 1.2 only.Basic Network SettingsThe User Station's default network configuration is set to Automatic(DHCP) for both IPv4 and IPv6 settings.This section describes basic network configuration only.
