EB 3018 EN 7-1Operation7 OperationImmediately after completing start-up orplacing the regulator back into service (seethe 'Start-up' section), the regulator is readyfor use.Risk of burn injuries due to hot or cold com-ponents and pipeline.Regulator components and the pipeline maybecome very hot or cold. Risk of burn inju-ries.Î Allow components and pipelines to cooldown or warm up to the ambient tem-perature.Î Wear protective clothing and safetygloves.Risk of personal injury due to pressurizedcomponents and process medium being dis-charged.Î Do not loosen the control line while thevalve is pressurized.Risk of hearing loss or deafness due to loudnoise.Noise emission (e.g. cavitation or flashing)may occur during operation caused by theprocess medium and the operating condi-tions.Î Wear hearing protection when workingnear the valve.WARNING!WARNING!WARNING!Crush hazard arising from moving parts.The regulator contains moving parts (actua-tor and plug stem), which can injure handsor fingers if inserted into the valve.Î Do not insert hands or finger into theyoke while the valve is in operation.Î Disconnect the supply voltage and pro-tect it against unintentional reconnectionbefore performing any work on the con-trol valve.Î Do not impede the movement of the actu-ator or plug stem by inserting objects in-to their path.Î Before unblocking the actuator and plugstem after they have become blocked(e.g. due to seizing up after remaining inthe same position for a long time), re-lease any stored energy in the actuator(e.g. spring compression).
