Selecting Print SettingsTEST• Self Test prints the configuration sheet. A list of the userdefault settings, the installed options, and the amount ofprinter memory available prints.• Demo Page prints the demonstration page. It shows theprinter features and specifications.PCL• Typeface allows you to select the desired typeface. Thissetting is ignored when the software application specifies afont.• Symbol set determines the symbol set. A symbol set is a setof alphabetic and numeric characters, punctuation, and specialsymbols used when printing with a selected font.• Pitch sets the font pitch (only if you have selected a scalablemonospaced font). Pitch refers to the number of fixed-spacecharacters in a horizontal inch of type.• Lines Per Page sets the number of lines that print on eachpage. The setting can range from 5 to 128 lines per page.• Point Size sets the font point size (only if you have selected ascalable typographic font). Point size refers to the height of thecharacters in the font. One point equals approximately 1/72 ofan inch. You can select point sizes from 4.0 to 999.75 inincrements of 0.25 points.• COURIER determines the courier font type: Regular or Dark.• Font List prints the font list showing all the fonts available forPCL emulation.PS3• Font List prints the font list showing all the fonts available forPostScript (only available when the PostScript option isinstalled).• Print error information: Specifies whether to print PostScripterror information after your document has been printed.
