This also applies to other types of print media.• Print media should be loaded face up with the top edge going into themanual tray first and be placed in the center of the tray.• Always load only the print media specified in page 5.2 to avoid paperjams and print quality problems.• Flatten any curl on postcard, envelope, and label before loading it intothe manual tray.Setting the paper size and typeAfter loading paper in the paper tray, you need to set the paper size andtype using the control panel buttons. These settings will apply to Copyand Fax modes. For PC-printing, you need to select the paper size andtype in the application program you use on your PC.1 Press Menu. Paper Setting appears on the top line of the display.2 Press the Scroll buttons until Paper Size appears and press Enter.3 Press the Scroll buttons until the paper tray you want appears andpress Enter.4 Press the Scroll buttons until the paper size you are using appearsand press Enter.5 Press upper level to return to the upper level.6 Press the Scroll buttons until Paper Type appears and press Enter.7 Press the Scroll buttons until the paper type you are using appearsand press Enter.8 Press Stop/Clear to return to Standby mode.Verifying an output locationThe machine has a paper output location which holds 100 sheets of paper.The output tray collects printed paper face down, in the order in whichthe sheets were printed.NotePull the output support not to drop the printed paper.11 output tray
