Advanced Fax5−6The document will be scanned into memory beforetransmission.The display will show each number before starting eachtransmission.• If the scanned pages fill up the remaining memory,your fax machine will display ‘MEMORY FULL’ andask ‘CANCEL JOB? Y/N’.If you select ‘Y’ and press Start/Enter, the scannedpages will be deleted from memory. You should thendivide your pages into several transmissions, or sendthem directly from the feeder not from the memory.If you select ‘N’ and press Start/Enter, only thescanned pages will be sent. You should send theremaining pages later when the memory is available.The machine returns to Standby Mode and the displayshows a reminder that a Delayed FAX is set.PollingPolling enables you (or a remote fax machine) to retrieve adocument. This is useful when a person who has a documentto be sent is leaving the office. The person who wants toreceive the document at a later time places a call to themachine holding the original, and requests that the documentbe sent. In other words, it “requests” the machine holding theoriginal.Setting Send PollingYou can programme your fax machine to send documents inyour absence when it is requested by a remote fax machine.1 Turn the document face down and feed the documentinto the loading slot.2 Press Advanced FAX and select ‘SEND POLLING’by pressing < or >.3 Press Start/Enter.• Your machine starts scanning the document(s) intomemory and shows ‘SEND POLLING’ in the display. Ifthe receiving mode was TEL, the machine changes it toFAX mode automatically for being polling.• When it is polled, the page in memory will be deletedautomatically and receiving mode returns to the statebefore setting polling.
