Special Features6−4Chain DiallingWhen using special computer services, such as alternate longdistance carriers, credit card calls, or bank−by−phone, youmust dial the telephone number of the service and wait for thecomputer to answer before continuing. The length of timebefore the computer answers can vary, so using a pre−programmed pause after a service number is not advised.However, you can store your ID number, for example, in onememory location, and the rest of the information, such as yourcard number, in another memory location.Dial the phone number of the special service first. Then, whenthe service answers, dial the rest of the information, such as along−distance number. We call this procedure Chain Dialling.1 Lift the handset and place a call to the service.2 Press a One−Touch button holding the additionalinformation, when the computer answers.• Speed Dial and Group numbers cannot be used forChain Dialling.
