Receiving a Fax Manually - TEL modeYou will want to set your SmartJet machine to receive a fax manually whenyou want to personally check each incoming call to see if it is from a fax orfrom a person. You must have a telephone connected to your SmartJetmachine.1. Make sure that TEL is selected in the SmartFAX window.2. When the telephone connected to the SmartJet rings, pick up the handsetand answer it.3. If you hear a fax tone, or if the person on the other end asks you toreceive a fax, press the START/COPY button on the SmartJet.Both the SCAN/FAX and BUSY lamp light up.
