Error LampIf there are error conditions, the lamps on the front of yourSmartJet are lit up or blink. The lamps indicate:Lamp Status Description• The SCAN/FAX lamp glows red.• Fax communication error occurs. The SCAN/FAX lamp willbe off after 4 seconds.• The SCAN/FAX lamp glows red.• Paper is jammed in the automatic paper feeder. To clearjam, see page 3.6.• Paper is not loaded in the automatic paper feeder.• Document is not loaded.• Document is jammed in the manual feed. To clear jam, seepage 3.6.• The print cartridge is not installed or installed improperly.• The cartridge type is not correct.
