Call functions27Using the headsetUse the headset to make or answer calls withoutholding the phone.Connect the headset to the jack on the left side of thephone.The buttons on the headset work as listed below:Options during a callYou can access a number of functions during a call.Adjusting the volume during a callUse [ / ] to adjust the earpiece volume during a call.Press [ ] to increase the volume level and [ ] todecrease the volume level.Using the external speakerUse the optional external speaker to talk and listenwith the phone a short distance away. First, you mustplug the speaker into the phone.1. During a call, press [ ] to listen and talk to theother person hands-free. The icon appears.2. Press [ ] again to return to normal phonemode. The icon appears.Placing a call on hold/RetrievingPress <Hold> or <Retrieve> to place a call on holdor retrieve the call.Making a second callYou can make another call if your network supports it.1. Press <Hold> to put the call on hold.2. Make the second call in the normal way.3. Press <Swap> to switch between the calls.4. Press <Options> and select End held call to endthe call on hold.5.
