If you select Auto, the phone switches theencoding type from GSM-alphabet to Unicode ifyou enter a Unicode character. Use of Unicodeencoding will reduce the maximum number ofcharacters in a message to about half.If this menu is not shown, your phone provides theAuto character encoding by default.Bearer: select a bearer type.Validity period: set the length of time yourmessages are stored in the SMS centre.Message type: set the default message type.Service centre: store or change the number ofyour message centre.• Block number: specify phone numbers fromwhich messages will not be accepted.
