Using Date Book151Scheduling an EventA record in Date Book is called an event. An event canbe any kind of activity that you associate with a day. Youcan enter a new event on any of the available time lines.When you schedule an event, its description appears onthe time line, and its duration is automatically set to onehour. You can easily change the starting time andduration for any event. It’s possible to schedule eventsthat overlap and Date Book makes it easy to find suchconflicts.You can also schedule events in your Date Book thatoccur on a particular date but have no specific startingor ending times, such as birthdays, holidays, andanniversaries. These are referred to as “untimedevents.” Untimed events appear at the top of the list,marked with a diamond. You can have more than oneuntimed event on a particular date.You can also schedule a repeating event, such as aweekly meeting, and continuous events, such as athree-day conference or a vacation.To schedule an event for the current day:1.
