Using Card Info215Managing the Expansion Card• When writing data to an expansion card, wait for your PDAphone to complete the operation before removing the cardfrom the slot. This prevents data corruption or accidentaldamage to the expansion card.• You can install applications to an expansion card afterperforming an initial HotSync®operation. See “InstallingAdd-on Applications and Files” on page 243 for moreinformation. For optimal performance, we recommendthat you do not install more than 50 applications to asingle expansion card.• Since reading and writing information on an expansioncard uses more battery power than performing the sametask on your PDA phone, you may want to considercopying the information onto your PDA phone.• When your PDA phone’s battery level becomes very low,access to the expansion card may be disabled to protectyour data.
