When charging is finished, unplug the chargerfrom the power outlet and from the phone bypressing the grey buttons on both sides of theconnector and pulling the connector out.Charging the Battery using the batteryCharger1. Plug the travel charger connector into thebottom of the battery charger.2. Insert the teeth on the bottom of the batteryinto the slot on the battery charger and pressthe battery until it clicks into place.3. Plug the travel charger into a standard ACwall outlet.4. Ensure that the charger has beendisconnected either from the charger or thewall outlet before removing the battery. Toremove the battery, push and hold the catchon the charger and lift the battery away.Low battery indicatorWhen the battery is weak and only a few minutesof talk time remain, the battery sensor informsyou in the following ways:• An empty battery icon flashes ( ).• You hear a warning tone.• A message is briefly shown on the display.After 5 minutes, the message is again brieflyshown. The message will appear one last timejust before the phone automatically switchesoff.When the battery becomes too weak for thephone to operate, it switches off automatically.Getting started17Adding an expansion cardAn expansion card (sold separately) increasedthe variety of tasks you can do and the amountof space you have for storing software and dataon your phone. Your phone is compatible withMMC (Multi Media Card) expansion cards.Inserting a card1. Insert the card into the expansion card slotwith the label side facing up.2. Push the card in until it locks into place.Removing a cardTo remove a expansion card, Slide the card out ofthe expansion card slot, as shown.Switching the phone on or off1. Open the phone.2. Press and hold the key until the phoneswitches on.3. If the phone asks for a PIN, enter the PINcode and press the Confirm soft key.
