Settings102The phone dials your network to find whethercall waiting is possible or not.After a few minutes, the current statusdisplays.2. Press the Left or Right scroll key to select oneof the following options.• Check status: your phone dials yournetwork to find whether call diverting ispossible or not. After a few minutes, thecurrent status displays.• Activate: The selected call waiting option isnot activated. Selecting this option activatesyour setting.• Deactivate: The selected call waitingoption is currently active. Selecting thisoption deactivates your setting.3. Press the Req. soft key.The phone sends your settings to the networkand the network’s acknowledgement displays.Auto redialWith this feature, the phone makes up to tenattempts to redial a phone number when anoutgoing call fails.Closed User Group (CUG)This network service allows incoming andoutgoing calls to be restricted to a selected usergroup. You can ctrate up to ten user groups.Example : A company lends SIM cards to itsemployees and wants to restrict outgoingcalls to members of the same team.Activating a closed user group1. Press the OK key to put a check mark on theUse user group field.2. Press the Down scroll key to move to theOutside access or Default group field. Usethe OK key to enable or disable calls tonumbers other than those in the Closed UserGroup.This feature depends on the nature of yourCUG subscription. Please check with yourservice provider.3. Press the Down scroll key to move to theGroup index field and select the CUG indexyou want to activate.4. Press the Save soft key.Settings103Now, you can select the number from theIndex field.Managing the index listYou can add a new index and change or delete anexisting index.1. On the Closed User Group screen, press theDown scroll key to move to the Group indexfield.2. Press the OK key to see the Group index list.3. Press the Up or Down scroll key to select anindex and press the Options soft key.The following options are available:• Select: saves the current index list.• New index: enter a new index name andpress the Save soft key.• Edit index: allows you to change theselected index.• Delete index: deletes the selected index.Video call settings (Menu 9-5)This menu allows you to select whether or notthe video camera is used when a video call isreceived, or when you retry a failed orinterrupted video call (for example, when backwithin 3G (UMTS) reception).Show me: allows you to set the video camerause parameters when receiving an incomingvideo call.• Always: allows you to use the video cameraalways.• Optionally: allows you to select whether ornot the video camera is used.Retry with: allows you to set how to retry.• Voice call: allows you to retry by voice call.• Camera: allows you to send a multimediamessage using video footage.• None: no retry.Time & date (Menu 9-6)This menu allows you to set the current time anddate to display on the idle screen.
