Picture Messages86Setup (Menu 2.8)You can change the default settings for sending orreceiving picture messages.The following options are available:Delivery Report: when this option is enabled, thenetwork informs you whether or not your messagehas been delivered.Read Reply: when this option is enabled, yourphone sends a request for a reply along with yourmessage to the recipient.Auto Download: you can set whether or not yourphone retrieves new incoming messages from theMMS server without notifications.Message Acceptance: you can specify thecategory of messages you want to receive.Expiry Date: you can select the length of timeyour messages are stored at the message centreafter they are sent.Delivery Time: you can set the delay time beforethe phone sends your messages.Priority: you can select the priority level of yourmessages.Report Allowed: when this option is disabled, thesender of an incoming message does not receive adelivery report from the network.Page Duration: you can set how long one page ofthe received message displays on the messagepresentation screen. After a specified time, thedisplay automatically scrolls to the next page.Picture Messages87MMS Profile (Menu 2.9)In this menu, you can configure various networksettings that are required when you send or receivemultimedia messages.Notes:• The last profile you accessed is automaticallyactivated for sending messages.• If you change the MMS settings without the serviceprovider’s instructions, the MMS feature may notwork properly.The following options are available for each profile:Profile Name: enter a name that you wish toassign to the MMS server.Connection URL: enter the address of your MMSserver.Security: select a data transmission mode. ChooseSecure to protect your data against unauthorisedaccess; otherwise, choose Non-Secure.IP Address: enter the gateway address required toconnect to the MMS server.User Name: enter the user ID required to connectto the MMS server.Password: enter the password required to connectto the MMS server.APN: enter the access point name used for theaddress of the MMS server.For further details, contact your service provider.
