57This function provides the following options in the coolingfans’ operation when the projector is turned off (p.20).L 1 ..... Normal operationL 2 ..... Slower, lower-sound and longish-time than thenormal operation (L1).SettingFan controlThis function is used to display the cumulative lampoperating time and reset the lamp counter.When the total lighting time of a lamp exceeds therecommended total hours of use, the Lamp replacementicon (Fig.1) will appear on the screen, indicating that the endof lamp life is reached.When replacing the projection lamp, reset lamp counter.See "Resetting the Lamp Counter" on page 64.Lamp counterThis icon appears on the screen when the end oflamp life is reached.Fig 1 Lamp replacement iconNote:At turning on, the icon (Fig.1) will appear.Choose the running speed of cooling fans from the followingoptions according to the ground elevation under which youuse the projector.Off ........... Normal speed. Set this function to Off whenusing the projector in non-high altitudeenvironment.On 1 ........ Faster than Off mode. Select this mode whenusing the projector in high altitudes (about1,200 meters or more above the sea level)where the fans have less cooling effect.On 2 ........ Faster than On 1 mode. Select this modewhen using the projector in higher altitudesthan above where the fans have lesser coolingeffect.Note:• Fan noise becomes louder in On 1 and On 2.• Failure to set the running speed of coolingfans properly may affect the projector life.When you want to make a digital processing of a projectedimage faster, set this function.Use the Point ▲▼ buttons, select an item of Off or On.FanVideo delay controlNote:The Lamp replacement icon (Fig.1) will not appearwhen the Display function is set to Off (p.46), or Freeze(p.25), or No show (p.26).Note:Noise reduction and Progressive cannot be selected when Video delay controlfunction is set to On.Downloaded From projector-manual.com Sanyo Manuals
