61Be sure to reset the Filter counter after replacing the Filter .Resetting the Filter CounterMaintenance and CleaningTurn off the projector, and unplug the AC power cordfrom the AC outlet.First, clean up the dust on the projector and around theair vents.12Filter prevents dust from accumulating on the optical elements inside the projector. Should the Filter becomeclogged with dust particles, it will reduce cooling fans’ effectiveness and may result in internal heat buildupand adversely affect the life of the projector. If a “Filter warning” icon appears on the screen, replace the Filterimmediately. Replace the filter by following the steps below.Press and hold any part of the red circle, and thenpress ◄ leftwards on the filter cover to release thelatch and open the filter cover.3Pull out the filter. When taking out the filter, put yourfingers on the filter tab and then pull.4CAUTIONDo not operate the projector with the filter removed.Dust may accumulate on the optical elementsdegrading picture quality.Do not put anything into the air vents. Doing so mayresult in malfunction of the projector.Do not wash the filter with water or any other liquidmatter. Use the Point ▲▼ buttons to select Setting andthen press the Point ► or the SELECT button.Use the Point ▲▼ buttons to select Filter counterand then press the SELECT button. Use the Point ▲▼buttons to select Filter counter reset and then pressthe SELECT button.
