June 2003 IPN: M5000-00-105 Disassembling the radio D - 7Removing the rear panelFollow the disassembly instructions and disas-semble the radio to the PCB level. Refer toFigure D-10 for the details of the rear panelassembly.Insert a small flat bladed screw driver underthe auxiliary dummy rear cover and applypressure to push the dummy rear cover lugsfree of the holes in the rear panel. To removethe rear panel, insert a small flat-bladed screw-driver just under the notch in the base andtwist.Remove the rear panel seal. Note that the RFcontact pin normally remains in the rear panelseal. Make sure that this is not lost duringdisassembly.Using a calibration pin, lift the auxiliary flexi-ble PCB contact area from the lower lefthandcorner. Remove the flexible PCB with the sealfrom the chassis; they should come out as aunit.You can now replace the auxiliary flexible PCB.
