There is usually no need torespond to 5-tone group calls.Making a5-Tone CallThere are two ways to make 5-tone calls on yourT2020: preset 5-tone calls, and dialed 5-tone calls.Preset 5-Tone CallsThere are two different types of preset 5-tone callsthat may be programmed for your radio. A one touch 5-tone call may be assigned to theauxiliary key ( ). To make the call, press theauxiliary key. A 5-tone call may be associated with each chan-nel that has 5-tone programmed. To make oneof these calls, change to the desired channel, andpress and hold the call key ( ) for longer thanone second.The transmit indicator ( ) appears briefly and theradio may give a short beep, as the call is transmit-ted. When the called party responds, proceed withyour conversation.Dialing 5-Tone CallsIf you are unsure what numbers you can dial, con-sult your system manager or the person who pro-grammed your radio.1.
