Forms Submenu67RBN End ActionThis menu allows the user to override the normal ribbon low warning andribbon out conditions.• Stop At RBN End (default). When this factory default option is selected, the printer displays a warning message when a ribbon low condition isreached, and displays a ribbon out fault when ribbon life reaches 0%.• Ignore RBN End. When this menu option is selected, it overrides theribbon low and ribbon out conditions, i.e., no warning or fault messagesare displayed and printing continues even after ribbon life reaches 0%.However, once the ribbon life reaches an excess wear condition asindicated by the fault message "EXCESS RBN WEAR / Install New RBN",printing will stop and the user must install a new ribbon before printingcan resume.NOTE: The excess ribbon wear is set below the "Lighter -10" Ribbon EndPoint setting.Perf. Skip• Disable (default). The platen does not open at the perforation.• Enable. This parameter enables the automatic perforation skip featurethat causes the platen to automatically open between the last line printedon the current form and the first line printed on the next form. This featureis useful when using heavy forms that have a large perforation “tent” thatcan get hung up in the print station.NOTE: When enabled, the printer throughput is reduced due to the timerequired to automatically open and close the platen.Power Saver TimeThe time interval you specify for this parameter sets the amount of idle timebefore the printer goes into Power Saver mode. When Instant is chosen, theprinter goes into Power Saver mode as soon as it is able to stop the shuttleproperly. The time allotted to perform this function depends upon the shuttletimeout value which can be set in the menu.NOTE: Power Saver mode will not be shown on the control panel eventhough the function still exists. Sending a print job to the printer willturn off Power Saver mode.
