TASCAM DP-008 15This sets MIC B, which is the built-in micon the right side of the front panel as theinput source for INPUT B.NOTEInternal MIC / Low and Internal MIC / Highchange the sensitivity of the built-in mics.Set it according to the loudness of thesubject being recorded.If you are not sure which setting to use,choose Internal MIC / Low. If the input levelis too low after adjusting it later, returnto this screen and change the setting toInternal MIC / High.7 After changing the setting, press theHOME key to return to the Home Screen.Setting the guitar as TRACK 1recording sourceThe default settings are for the INPUT A to bethe recording source for TRACK 1, 3, 5 and 7and for the INPUT B to be the recording sourcefor TRACK 2, 4, 6 and 8.In “Connecting and setting the input sources”above, we made a guitar the input source forthe INPUT A and a built-in mic (MIC B) theinput source for the INPUT B. Therefore, theguitar is already set to record to TRACK 1, 3, 5and 7 and MIC B is ready to record to TRACK2, 4, 6 and 8.As a result, there is no need to change theinput channel assignments to record the guitarto TRACK 1 in this example.Adjusting the input level andmonitoring1 Press the HOME key to return to theHome Screen.2. Press the TRACK 1 REC key. The keyblinks showing that the track is in recordstandby.TRACK 1 REC indicator3 Use the INPUT A TRIM knob to adjust theguitar input level.Set the TRIM knob so that the INPUT AOL indicator does not light even whenthe loudest sound to be recorded is input.If the indicator continues to light evenwhen the TRIM knob is turned down,the guitar signal itself is too loud.
