56 TASCAM DP-008During repeat playback•In auto punch in/out mode•When the recorder mode is MASTER REC•or MASTER PLAYUsing repeat playback1 Set the starting (IN) and ending (OUT)points for the time that you want torepeat, and then return to the HomeScreen.2 Press the REPEAT key to start repeatplayback.The repeat icon on the Home Screenappears.Repeat iconPlayback starts from the IN point. Whenthe OUT point is reached, after the repeatinterval elapses, playback starts againfrom the IN point. Playback continues torepeat between the IN and OUT points.3 Press the REPEAT key again to stoprepeat playback.The repeat icon on the Home Screendisappears.The next section explains how to set the repeatinterval that determines the amount of timeuntil playback starts again after the OUT pointis reached.Setting the interval betweenrepetitionsThe interval can be set from 1.0 to 9.9seconds.1 Press the MENU key to open the MENUscreen.2 Turn the DATA wheel to selectPREFERENCE, and press the F4 (¥) key toopen the PREFERENCE screen.3 Use the F3 (§) and F4 (¶) keys to selectthe setting value for the Repeat Intitem. Turn the DATA wheel to set thevalue from 1.0 to 9.9 sec. in 0.1-sec. units.The default setting is 1.0sec.4 When finished making settings, press theHOME key to return to the Home Screen.Locating to the IN or OUT pointWhen the Home Screen is open, press theF1 key while pressing and holding theSTOP key to locate to the IN point.Press the F2 key while pressing andholding the STOP key to locate to theOUT pointAutomatically punching inand outWhen an IN point and an OUT point areset, press the record (º) key and the IN/OUT key at the same time to enter autopunch in/out mode.Auto punch in/out mode includes a rehearsalfunction. When using this function, monitoringbetween the IN and OUT points in the sameway as when recording is possible withoutactually recording.Rehearsal1 Press the REC keys on tracks to use autopunch in/out with them.7 – Recorder Functions
