Openthe SD card slot on the right side of theunit.2 Insert the SD Card into the slot as shownin the following illustration until it clicksinto place.3 Close the cover.Ejecting the cardPush an inserted card in further to eject it.CAUTIONAlways turn the power OFF before removingthe batteries or the SD card. Removingeither while the power is still ON will causeany recordings and settings made since thelast time the power was turned OFF or thesong was saved to be lost. These data andsettings cannot be recovered.Write-protected cardsSD cards have write-protect (lock) switches.Unprotected ProtectedWhen the protect switch is in the LOCKposition, files cannot be recorded or editedon the card. Slide the switch away from theLOCK position if you want to record, erase orotherwise changed files on a card.Preparing the powerThis unit can be powered either by AAbatteries or a PS-P520 AC adaptor (soldseparately). Alkaline or NiMH batteries can beused with this unit.Installing batteriesOpen the battery compartment on the bottomof the unit. Insert 4 AA batteries in the boxaccording to the + and - indications.CAUTIONThe unit does not have charging ability.•To use NiMH batteries, use an optionalcharger.The included alkaline batteries are for•confirming the operation of the unit andmight not last very long.4 – Preparations
