VIDEO EDITOR: CHAPTER FOUR 219Determining your video save optionsThe properties that you specified in saving a video file determine your outputquality. MediaStudio Pro offers different settings that you can apply toachieve a high-quality video. The set of available options depends on theoutput file format that you want, since each file format may contain at-tributes that are different or not present in another.There are, however, options that are applicable in all file formats. Thefollowing section will discuss these general options.VIDEO SAVE OPTIONS: VIDEO EDITOR TAB1345261. Entire project creates a video file of the entire project while Preview rangecreates a video file of the preview area only. (This option is disabled if your videoproject has no preview area.)2. Perform non-square pixel rendering performs non-square pixel renderingwhen previewing your video. Non-square pixel support helps avoid distortion andkeeps the real resolution of DV and MPEG2 content. Generally, the square pixelis suited for the aspect ratio of computer monitors while the non-square pixel isbest used for viewing on a TV screen. Remember to take into account whichmedium will be your primary mode of display.3. Play after creating plays the resulting video file after its creation. This canserve as a signal that the rendering has finished.4. Perform SmartRender speeds up the creation process by reusing previouslysaved video, re-rendering only the areas modified since you last created thevideo. (You must use the same file name and destination.) Video Editor detectsthese differences by monitoring the changes made to the video project andmatching those with the existing video file.
