MEDIASTUDIO PRO USER GUIDE288Using the Windows Color PickerWhen you select the Windows Color Picker command, the standardWindows Color dialog box appears from which you can select a basic orcustom color.Selecting colors with the Eyedropper toolThe Eyedropper tool enables you to select a foreground color from colorsalready in an image. As you move the Eyedropper over an image, the RGBcolor values of the image are displayed in the Status bar and eventuallychange to reflect the color changes from one pixel to the next. Clickingyour mouse selects the color under the pointer as the foreground color.Note:To change which color square is active, click beneath either the foregroundand background squares on the Attribute toolbar. The next time you select a color,the active color square changes.Attribute toolbar of the Eyedropper toolLoading and saving color tablesThere may be times during your work that you find yourself continuallyusing the same colors with which to paint. You can store these colors ascolor squares on the Attribute toolbar of the Eyedropper tool, or savethem as a color palette file (PAL) using the Custom tab of the ColorPalette. To do this, first change the color squares in the Custom tab tothose of the colors you regularly use and then click the Save button tosave the palette to its own file. (To change a color square, right-click itand choose a color from the available color pickers or palette.) Once apalette has been saved, you can bring it back into the Custom tab of theColor Palette by clicking the Open button.
