32 Keys, doors, windows, sun roofNotez If the driver’s door is not closed properly,the central locking system will unlockagain immediately after locking.z 30 seconds after unlocking using theremote control the doors automaticallylock again 3 if neither a door nor theluggage compartment has beenopened.z To lock the doors from within (e.g. toprevent undesired access from outside),press the central locking switch m.z If they are locked, the doors and theluggage compartment unlockautomatically in the event of an accidentof a certain severity (to permit outsideassistance). Prerequisite: Ignition mustnot be switched off.Closing the windows and sun roof 3 fromoutsideIn vehicles with electronic windows, thewindows can be closed from outside: holddown button p on the remote control untilall windows are closed.The sun roof 3 can be closed from outside:hold down button p on the remote controluntil the roof is fully closed.Vehicle with electrically retractable exteriormirrors 3: When closing the windows usingthe remote control, the exterior mirrors willalso be retracted. The mirrors will be foldedback out when the vehicle is unlocked usingthe remote control.If the mirrors are retracted using the buttonin the driver’s door, they remain in thisposition when the doors are unlocked.9 WarningTake care when operating the electricwindows and the sun roof 3.
