177EasytronicPicture no: 17925j.tifInterruption of power supplyThe clutch is not disengaged if the vehiclebattery is discharged and a gear has beenselected. The vehicle cannot move.If the battery is flat, start the vehicle usingjump leads – see page 230.If the cause of the interruption to the powersupply is not the discharged battery,consult a workshop. We recommend yourVauxhall Authorised Repairer. If the vehiclehas to be removed from moving traffic,release clutch as follows:1. Apply hand brake and switch offignition.2. Open bonnet.3. Clean Easytronic around the cap (seefigure 17925 J) so that no dirt can getinto the opening when the cap isremoved.4. Rotate cap to slacken and remove bylifting upwards – see figure 17925 J.5. Turn the adjusting screw clockwise usinga flat-head screwdriver (vehicle tools 3 –see page 238) until clear resistance canbe felt. The clutch has now beendisengaged.Do not turn beyond the resistance, sincethis can damage the Easytronic.6. Fit cleaned cap again. The cap must bein full contact with the housing.Towing the vehicle and starting the engineis not permitted when the clutch has beenreleased in this way, although the vehiclecan be moved a short distance.Consult a workshop immediately. Werecommend your Vauxhall AuthorisedRepairer.
