206 Drive Control SystemsPicture no: 17712j.tifAutomatic level control 3Automatic level control makes it possible tokeep the height of the vehicle constantwhen subjected to different loads in therear (e.g. when towing a caravan or trailer).This significantly improves drivingconditions.The vehicle is automatically raised at therear, increasing the spring travel andground clearance.The automatic level control system isactivated after approx. 2 miles (3 km),depending on the vehicle loading and thenature of the road surface.Headlight range adjustment– see page 129.In the event of malfunctions, do not utilisethe vehicle’s full load capacity. Have thecause remedied without delay. Werecommend that you consult your VauxhallAuthorised Repairer.Tyre pressure monitoringsystem 3The tyre pressure monitoring systemcontinuously monitors the pressure of allfour tyres while the vehicle is being driven.A pressure sensor is integrated in eachwheel. Once each minute, the pressure ofeach tyre is sent to a control unit forcomparision. if the system detects one ormore pressure differences, controlindicator w illuminates or flashes red. Invehicles with check control 3, the exactpressure of the tyre in question appears inthe information display.In vehicles with graphical informationdisplay 3 or colour information display 3and trip computer 3, current tyre pressurescan be shown in the information display.For the system to be operational, all wheelsmust be equipped with pressure sensorsand all tyres must be inflated to theprescribed pressure. The tyre pressuremonitoring system automatically detects ifthe vehicle is being driven with a load of upto 3 persons or a full load.
